Lylester Beef comes directly from the Angus cattle raised at Lylester Ranch in southeast Nebraska, where three generations of ranching tradition guide the way we care for our herd.
Named in honor of Dan’s grandparents, Lyle and Ester Vergith, Lylester Ranch is a third-generation family operation just outside Martell, Nebraska. Dan spent many of his summers on the ranch as a kid, helping his grandparents care for the cattle and learning the values that still guide the operation today. When the opportunity arose to purchase the ranch from his aunt and uncle in 2007, Dan and Patricia were proud to continue the family legacy.
Over the years, the Vergiths have built a registered Angus herd known for exceptional quality and strong carcass performance—traits that translate directly into the premium beef we offer today. Guided by Dan’s philosophy that form and function always come before numbers, every decision in the herd is focused on producing cattle that perform well on the ranch and deliver outstanding beef on the plate.
